Ruxpin, Stafrænn Hákon – meet me in forever

Sound In Silence proudly presents the collaboration of Ruxpin & Stafrænn Hákon and their first album Meet Me In Forever. Both artists have been part of Sound In Silence in the past, as Stafrænn Hákon had released on the label his seventh full-length album Prammi in 2012 and had collaborated with Absent Without Leave on the later’s album Faded Photographs in 2010, while Ruxpin had contributed a remix to the Faded Photographs Remixes album that followed in 2013. The eclectic electronic producer Ruxpin is one of the leading figures in the Icelandic contemporary music scene. Widely associated with iconic labels such as n5MD and Elektrolux, Ruxpin stays true to his roots by consistently innovating his interpretation of melodic IDM electronic music, integrating soul and innovation with the scene. Stafrænn Hákon has collaborated with a broad range of artists and musicians and was aired at the late John Peel´s radio sessions amongst others.Two musical acts, both originating from Iceland, who have traveled separate paths for more than twenty years unite and bring us twelve compositions where the electronic world of Ruxpin collides with the post-rock atmospheric world of Stafrænn Hákon, resulting in an interesting blend that will undoubtedly raise some eyebrows among their followers.
