Fjordne & Stabilo : andrew

Split mini album entitled "Andrew" consists of four tracks, two from each artist, that showcase an approach of modern classical and cinematic ambient. Textures of echoed piano and swirling drones perfectly blend with jazz elements, subtle electronic glitches and field recordings, creating warm soundscapes full of nostalgic mood. The mastering of Andrew has been done by George Mastrokostas (aka Absent Without Leave), giving a great depth and warm feel to its sounds. FJORDNE is the solo project of Fujimoto Shunichiro, based in Tokyo, Japan. Focused on two concepts, sound texture and twisted time, he utilizes an array of acoustic instruments and transforms his sounds into a new time span using the laptop computer. Stabilo is the solo project of Yasutica Horibe, based in Hiroshima, Japan. He is also member of the post-rock/shoegaze band Speaker Gain Teardrop with whom he has released seven albums so far. Stabilo was born in 2002 when he started making music using mainly a laptop that was difficult to be expressed by his band.
