Offthesky returns with a fascinating set of experimental ambiances, acoustic and glitchy rhythmic excusions The Geist Cycles project began as a series of live sonic collaborations via Lexington (KY, USA) artists interacting to interpret an idea of life in transit to afterlife. The takes were later studio swept and fabricated with various piano arrangements and custom rhythmic texture. After repeated post-studio live performances, the tracks evolved into their current iteration. Offthesky (Jason Corder )began creating music in his mothers womb by banging on the uteris wall and plucking his embelical cord to cope with the isolation. He was freed in 1977 sometime and upgraded his kit to a sterling pots-n-pans set. many years later during the advent of the 386 wonder pc, Jason traded in his pots and pans at 14 and began exploring the void of tracker software. after a couple years of experimentation, he decided to explore the social void of art college, thus retiring his tracker ways... for a bit... in 1998 he started raving and making dub techno via the weird hybrid tracker freak buzz. after realizing how uterly impossible and ridiculous it is to 'program' music, he decided to wise up and start using convention software. today Jason writes humble songs with his guitar, pc and sometimes works with other musicians.
