B°TONG is Chris Sigdell, former member of German experimental industrial group NID (1995 - 2005). With B°TONG he reaches for the nether regions of experimental ambient sound and established himself as an acknowledged professional soundscape artist. Produced between 2012 & 2016 using voices, samples & material of rather obscure origin, ”The Long Journey” focuses on dark drones combined with ”meant-to-be” sound mishaps, making up a drowsy quagmire to a mixture of avantgarde experimental darkness.
