Anthéne : orchid

Anthéne is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Brad Deschamps, based in Toronto, Canada. Based around minimal loops of ethereal guitar figures, glassy ambient pads and pensive drones, Orchid is a sublime seven track album that shows a shimmering, glacial beauty. It’s an alluring collection of wonderful soundscapes which appeals to all fans of blown out textures, drowned swirls and the works of artists such as Harold Budd, Brian Eno, Fennesz and Eluvium. The finishing touch on the sound palette of Orchid was applied by the mastering of George Mastrokostas (aka Absent Without Leave), adding a great depth to its musical bliss.
